Stuffy stuff on P4
Jan. 14th, 2009 09:37 pmArriving noon on next Thursday at Terminal 5. As soon as I get through customs, I'll pop on a Hoppa and boogie over to the Thistle. I should be there, well, 1? I dunno. This time I don't need to play hide and seek with Pavane (hee- but we finally found each other!)
My Oyster card and 4 day rail pass was to be delivered today. I wasn't at home. They want to try again tomorrow, but I'll be at work. I gotta call them tomorrow morning and ask if they can try again on Friday.
Tomorrow is my last day of work. I've been with this company for 4 1/2 years. I think I should be worried about getting a new job, but I am not. I may be fooling myself, but anything is better than working anymore at my job. Since I quit, I am not eligible for unemployment. But I will go back to temping rather than spend one more day at work. Tomorrow, I have to "train" my replacement. He's just as unqualified as I was going in. I tried to talk to my boss, but the president of the company (also her new husband) has other ideas. I'm going to be as frank as I can with him and let him know what he is in for. At least when I took over this positon, I was already assisting the HR department and had an idea of what the job was about. Live and learn.
See all of you next Thursday and Friday! As for the trip to the City, I am up for anything. I'm going to be there for the rest of the week after the convention, so I can do other things, so whatever you guys want to do is a-ok with me. I still haven't finished the British Museum...

Random SGA question
Jan. 12th, 2009 01:12 pmJust read Joe M's blog. I don't always, but I was curious. 4 episodes he never got to write. One of them made me think. As most of you know,I am not a scifi fan. I watch SGA for the humor, the writing, the hot men and the boy-flirting. But I hate the Wraith. In fact, I am embarrassed to explain about the Wraith to friends who have never seen SGA. *I* am enbarrassed a bit to watch a show with the Wraith. They look ridiculous and the feeding- LAME. I much prefered the Genii as bad guys. Give me Koyla anyday over Todd or Michael or any of them named after Sheppard's old boyfriends....
Am I alone in this?

Dec. 13th, 2008 02:33 pmJust booked my flight! I'll be arriving in London on Jan 22nd and flying out Feb 11. If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. I still haven't heard from my brother when he'll be around after the convention, but I'm totally flexible. I'm still planning on going to Germany, but I will need to go back to London to fly home. Sky is the limit, folks.

OMG have you seen the prices? I wonder if it would be wise to buy now in case the cost goes up and up.
I can get a ticket for around $1000 US but I'd have to do a layover in Chicago. Chicago. In January. I'd rather stick a knife under my fingernail.
I think I might try the midnight on Wednesday trick. Cheapest fare. I'm also doing the Expedia and Orbitz email when the price changes email. I was hoping for around $800. HAHAHA. Oh well.
Anyone know of any super-secret lowfare sites that won't make me do 3 layovers?
