I'm sorta alive
Jul. 5th, 2010 04:06 pmIt's 4pm, I've run to the store and bought a big bottle of Pepto and have have a few pulls off it. My god, I haven't been this hungover in ages. I ended up at my neighbor's apartment. She was throwing a party and my car alarm kept going off when the people in the neighborhood shot off firecrackers. I sat in my car reading my manual, trying to figure out how to disarm my alarm, and she invited me to her place. Her apartment has a balcony that overlooks Lake Union where the fireworks show was. My alarm went off about 20 times during the show, but I was able to key it off.
For next year- I will be prepared. I called my dealer and they will turn down the sensitivity to the alarm.
For dinner- I'm having cheese pizza. Greasy food is so good on hangovers. I don't know why, but it works. I think I might be human tomorrow.

Here's where I need your help. I was thinking about doing a 365 project, but I know I won't finish it. But I can do a 52 project. I have been thinking of what I can do once a week for a year. Here is something that I can do that would be way different from what I normally do.
A movie a week. Sounds easy, eh? Well, I am known for only seeing 1-2 movies a year. In fact, I didn't go to a single movie this year. Not one. I have this track record for all my life. Which means, if there is a good movie in the past 20-30 years, chances are I haven't seen it. Really. No Country for Old Men? Nope. Apocalypse Now? No way. Pirates of the Caribbean? Not a chance. Why? I think I was forced to see too many bad movies as a child and my brother always got to choose the movie which meant we saw Iron Eagle, The Last Starfighter and Fletch. Oy
So- what movies would you suggest? There are a few standards that I have seen, but most I have not. And I can never be truely good at trivia until I do. =) And I'm not talking about the past 5 years, but if it's a classic, there is a good chance that I didn't see it. I have seen Arsenic and Old Lace and Harvey. I love me some Cary Grant. Some movies in the past 5 years that I have seen are: Wall-E, 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Sicko, Shawn of the Dead/Hot Fuzz, All Harry Potter Movies and of course A Dog's Breakfast.

Cards and a free idea

Next batch will go out when I buy more cards. D'oh! Added- Torra-djfavorite-morphing_lanes-paraka and any others.
Oh- I had an idea! It's free to use. I would have used it if I had any talent. It would be Santa flying through the sky. Instead of reindeer, it would be a jumper. Inside, Rodney would have some of those reindeer antlers on and John would totally make him wear a red nose. Rodney got him back by making him dress like an elf. He wouldn't mention the ears, but John would totally get pissy that Rodney was thinking about them. Cute, eh? Thought about it when I was writing mushy stuff to my Mom's best friend in her card. Please feel free to draw it if you so wished.
