Last night's episode of Supernatural left a lot of us with holes burning in our hearts. Relationships needing to be repaired, misunderstandings needing to be cleared up, cross purposes and priorities needing to be put straight... So here is a chance to get some closure while we wait for the season finale.

Another night of very little sleep.  I had my math class and took my 2nd of 3 major tests. I think I did ok- not 100% but maybe in the 80% range.  Whatever- I'll take it.  As long as I pass this class, I'm golden.  Then I got home, loaded up the dishwasher and watched some DVDs while I ran the dishwasher.  I kept getting occasional smoke smells, but didn't think anything of it.  When the dishwasher was finished, I opened it up and grabbed a bowl to empty it.  The bowl was tacky, so I did what anyone would have done- I licked the finger that I used to touch it. It tasted soapy.  The dishwasher didn't rinse.  Grr.  So I ran a rinse cycle again. This time, I kept an eye on it.  The machine turned on, but no water came out after 10 minutes. I opened the door and noticed it was really hot.  For some reason, I took a glass of water and threw water on the drainage to see if there was a problem.  The water sizzled as soon as it hit.  Darn dishwasher is broken.  So now I had practically boiling water in the dishwasher with the machine off.  I pull out all the of the dishes and rinse them in the sink.  Then, I crawled under my sink and put my hand between the dishwasher and the back of the cabinet trying to feel for heat. I'm suprised I didn't get shocked.  I could feel no heat.  I put my hand in the water in the drainage and it was still very hot.  So I had to wait until almost midnight to go to bed, in case the dishwasher was smoldering and caught fire.  It didn't happen.  I even went to the hallway to make sure the fire extinguisher was fully charged (it is) in case it did catch. 
This morning, there is still water in the bottom but it's cold.  I'm going to call my landlord this afternoon to see if someone can come out to fix it.  Plus, I'm out of Dawn.  
Good news is that we have no class Thursday and my teacher didn't give us any homework.

I took my laptop (Chester) to both Vancouver and London.  But I certainly don't want someone digging through my files.  Do I have anything to hide?  Nope.  Do I like my privacy? Yep.
