I'm off to Best Buy tomorrow (Hey- when you don't have a car, it's an exciting trip)  and I will be purchasing a season of my new show NCIS.  I wuv me some McGee.  I could write sonnets on that man.  Anyhoo- I do not have any of this show on DVD yet.  There is also the Veteran's Day marathon on USA but I'll be working 9-6 as usual and will miss a lot of it.

Which season should I get?  I know- most will say 1st season, but is there a season that rocks hard?  One that I cannot live without?  Something that is the equivalent of Season 3 of SGA?

Hmm...if you're looking for McGee, season 1 isn't your best choice. He's in some of the eps, but not a main cast member until season 2. Which is the season I'd recommend :)

Hmm. McGee isn't a regular until season 2, and he has cute hair in starting season 4. (He also loses a little weight then, I think. I watched stuff out of order--I think I am tivoing season 4 right now off some channel on cable--so I'm not necessarily a good source for stuff.)

Season 3 is when Ziva shows up, and if part of what drew you to this is Xanthe's SGA crossover, you may want to start there.

Anyway, no earlier than season 2, and good hair takes awhile.

I starting watching the show about 2 months ago, but it wasn't until recently that I read Xanthe's story. I just love me some Tim. So would season 3 be good? I've just been devouring this show and watching the back to back to back (although I only get home in time for 6 & 7pm on USA) and I think they're on S4.

season 3 looks good to me, but see if you can find coies of swak and twilight (the last 2 eps of season 2), as the lead directly into the season 3 opener.

you may have already seen most of the season, though, given that you've been watching 2-a-day for a couple months. so check the ep list and see what look good.

I, too, recently started watching it and I've been trying to talk myself out of just going for broke and ordering the box set of seasons 1-5. I may have to wait for xmas so I have a real excuse to splurge.

I think I'll go with S2 for now. I know I need to watch 1 but it seems 2 is a good place for me to start. I'll see how much the box set is. I'm sure it's over $100!

Seasons 1-5 was 200 something at amazon. I've been looking for it cheaper, but so far no luck.

I was hoping to find the individual seasons at the stores in like the bargin bins but that hasn't worked so well either. Someone said Walmart had some of the earlier seasons for 30 each but my WalMart apparently didn't get that memo.
