I <b>LOVE</b> my Honda Fit.  Somehow- I got home. I left at 3:30 normal time and pulled into my parking space at 5:45.  It normally takes me about 20 minutes to get home.  The I90 bridge was slushy, downtown was icy and by the time I got to my street, it was a skating rink.  Someone ahead of me slammed on their brakes but I was far enough back that I was able to let them get going again.  My street is on a slight incline and any momentum is good.  If they cause me to stop, I was going to go to their car and smack a beeotch.  The alley behind my place had over an inch of snow, but that actually gave it a bit of traction and I was able to swing my car into my spot and park it.  

Go Tim!  (I named my car after Tim McGee)

If I ever learn to drive I think I'll need to call my car Gibbs or Ziva, cos I'll be a danger to other motorists :D

Yeah I'll call my first car Gibbs...he drives his car into freezing rivers...Ziva only prangs government cars, lol!

I had to rent a car after I went back to clean out my Mom's house and they gave me a Dodge Charger that I named Gibbs. It was so Cool!

It's now 20 degrees with blowing snow. People have been abandoning their cars for a few hours. I also ran into people who are walking past my place (usually 30-45 min walk from downtown) who gave up on the buses and decided to walk. Someone got of work at 5 and it's now 8:30 and they still have about a mile to go. Ouch

It took hubs 4+ hours to get home. He left about the same time you did. But the backups were crazy. The truck did fine though.

He's lucky. I was outside about half hour ago running around in the snow and I kept seeing people heading north on my road. The buses are so full and the traffic is so bad, people are walking for miles in the cold just to get home.
My boss texted me and said that we open at 10am tomorrow, weather permitting. I'm gonna try to get there on the bus, but I have no idea how far up BelRed I can get. I'm more worried about getting home tomorrow.

I seriously was considering ditching him somewhere. The roads were dicing downtown and turning onto my road, I skidded a bit. Somehow I was able to get home and parked properly in my spot. No way am I driving in tomorrow- even if the office doesn't open until 10

Oh I totally forgot! There is an 08 or 09 light blue Fit on a lot in Ballard. I thought of you.
My cousin wants to serve dinner on Saturday. Since her daughter just got married, the family flipped a coin and she'll be at her husband's family for actual Thankgiving and she'll be at my cousin's house for actual Christmas. I have much more faith in Tim now, but it's the other drivers who are morons who I am worried about. So- no, I haven't decided yet. Told her I would let her know by Wednesday evening.

Me too. Now I have to call work to see if I need to go in. Day before Thanksgiving and it's 23 outside. Fingers crossed I don't have to go!
