Interesting hearing some people's reactions to the news last night that Bin Laden is dead. It's the whole "This doesn't change anything" or "I'm against all death, so I'm appalled that people are celebrating."
I don't know anyone killed in 911. I don't know (as far as I know) who has been killed in fighting. I'm not a "US #1! We never make mistakes" person. My concern is the 3000+ people killed on 9/11/01. My concern is the countless thousands killed since then overseas. This person was the mastermind of those murders. You telling me that if you found out that someone who was responsible for deaths of thousands is dead and you don't see the relief in that? I'm not taking about America vs. the World, I'm talking about basic human decency. This doesn't solve everything- but a chance to pause and celebrate a victory for a day.
And there is always those who want to piss on any parade.
