I walked into a spider web on the way to work.  Big ole brown son of a bitch.  In the process of trying to get it off me, I threw my ipod in the bushes.  Finally, I saw the spider on the ground heading for the grass.  I didn't kill it since I wasn't paying attention and walked into it's web, but I did fish my ipod out of the bushes.  Dealing with that will wake you up faster than coffee.

Plus- whoever hacked David Hewlett's site is evil.  Karma's gonna bite you on the ass.  Along with my spider.

Karma's gonna bite you on the ass.

With any luck! And I hope it's some heavy karma too. To do this to someone who makes a point to be so open with his fans is just beyond unconscionable. DH put a hell of a lot of his own personal time into those sites and I wouldn't blame him a bit if he just throws up his hands. I feel so bad for him.

Oh, and I hate webs more than the spiders, gah what an awful feeling!

I really hope he's able to put it back when he has time this fall. I will miss his updates and Baz pictures. Sad. I wonder if you can trace back to who did it. I'm sure you can, but with S5 still filming, I'm sure he doesn't have the time.

Spiders- don't get me started. The web is what I felt first. I lifted up my arm and saw the spider trying to climb upwards towards my arm. That's when I starting flailing and tossed my ipod. Hate them

*shudders* Not a big spider fan, and walking into one of their webs is always very eeeeek-inducing!! I nearly walked into a big web into the garden last week, saw it between the trees in the very last second! Luckily we don't have really dangerous spiders here, that's different where you live, not?

The ADB attack left me speechless. See my twitter - it hurt so much to read David's note, he seemed to be so very disheartened and crestfallen! Hope that's not the end of ADB and that he'll be able to get a lot of it up and running again during his hiatus, when the initial shock is over and when he remembers that so many fans love his site!

Thanks goodness I saved all of his pics!

People who have nothing better to do with their time than to annoy others like that, who hack sites and create viruses and troll around with absolutely no respect towards others are simply evil and there are no excuses for what they do.

The spiders here are pretty harmless. I was more worried when I was in Australia. Everything can kill you there!

As for David- I don't know. That must feel like a gigantic slap in the face. He really put hours of time and energy into the site. Who would do that?

Yeah, Australia is my personal spider nightmare. I love the country but I could never live there. Like Pratchett said in one of his books: There are no poisonous snakes in Australia - because they all got killed by the spiders!

Regarding dgeek - no idea who'd do sth like that. An evil, evil voice in my head says "maybe an envious and bitter anti-DH/RM-pro-anyoneelsefromSGA computer genius who crossed a line" but that's really just my bad side speaking... Well, it surely wasn't a DH/RM fan, maybe it was just a random annoying person. But no matter who did that, something like that is not funny but a crime.
Poor David, really, he didn't deserve that after all he did for the fans. Ok, lately it felt as if he wanted to pull back a bit aynway, which would be understandable of course. He posted less and wanted to give the fans more control over the site.
I always thought he probably feels as if he owes his fans something so he tries to post/twitter even though he doesn't have time, but he doesn't owe anyone anything, so I'd understand it if he concentrated more on his family, work and projects. I'd be very sad if he closed down dgeek completely though. It sounded a bit like that, he sounded so tired and defeated, and I hope he'll get over that when time heals the wound.

eeek! Spider! *shudder* Spiders are cool so long as they stay out of my house and out of my way. To walk into a web is creepy. Glad you are ok. ;)

I'm so sad about David's site getting hacked. :( That was seriously malicious. I always made a point of saving everything he posted. I really hope he can start it up again if he has time over the hiatus.

I really feel bad for David. He really worked hard on the site. We've been lucky to have someone so dedicated to letting his fans know what he has been up to. And some jerk comes along and messes it up for everyone.

But the spider- no. No spiders for me. Good thing they're not dangerous.

Problem potentially solved (though it was a very, very, very sad time when it looked unsolvable)
