I just bought a ticket for Avenue Q. http://www.avenueq.com/

I really didn't need to spend the money, but I haven't been to a Broadway show in 3 years, so why not?

And I am coughing up a lung.  This cold sucks.

Trust me, hon, this show is sooo worth it. I saw it on Broadway on my NYC trip last year...in fact...today is June 4th isn't it? I saw it a year ago today! About 17 hours away from the exact start time. And it was exelent. I went in knowing I wanted to see it, knowing some of the themes in it (Gay Puppets For The Win!), but nothing past the fact that it had won the Tony for Best New Show the year it came out, and it was being praised by PFLAG and GLADD members around the world. I didn't even know any of the songs.

It blew me away and imideatly became one of my all time favorate Broadway Shows (it's now in my top three with Phantom and Momma Mia, though Phantom will always come first). I so so so wanted to go to the run in Seattle, but I just couldn't afford the tickets at Paramount. I got my ticket in NYC though TKTS for less then half of what the Paramount is charging. I'm also gunna miss Eddie Izzard for the exact same reason (Fucking Paramount. Fucking TicketBastard. ::growl::). And the show here may actualy be the same cast I saw, too. The cast that's in the comirtals that are playing here right now is the same cast I saw, I'm 90% sure. And they were incredible. Truly.

If this is yer first show in three years, and the only one you'll see for the next three years, this is the one I would most highly recomend you to see. (Which works out perfectly, since it is, you are, and it is. ::G:: ::winks::)

I can't wait. They started showing commericals on tv for it, so now I'm totally excited. The only song I know from it is "If you were gay" which has been turned into a very funny McShep vid.
I've never been to the Paramount, but I, too, wanted Eddie Izzard tickets but could not afford them. The only reason I was able to get a AQ ticket was that I had about $250 left from my economic stimulus check.

Can't wait!
