The Snowpocalysp a no show, so far.  It's snowing in Olympia, so I guess the storm is still coming.  It better be- 2 1/2 hours on the bus to get home.  Grumble. 

All these con posts are making me antsy.  I wanna go to a con RIGHT NOW.  It's an addiction.

Flist roll call-

Are you going to a con?  If so, which ones?  I'm going to Stargate Vancouver in April (no ticket but I will be in the back), Stargate Chicago in August (Seat 5C-  Third row!!!) and Supernatural Vancouver in August (no ticket because I am waiting to see what day Misha will be there).  EDIT- Misha confirmed for Saturday in Vancouver!

What say you guys?  OR- have you never been to a con, but are thinking about it?  Let me know.  I can walk you through the squee.  You really should go, if you can.  So MUCH FUN.

Start saving now, if you can. Creation Conventions can be expensive, but this company survived the bad economy and so I'm not too worried that cons will end.
1- Cheap seats. Even if you have to sit in the back, you'll still be at the con. And if you get photo ops and/or autographs, you still get some brief face time with the stars.
2- Roomies. If you don't mind, get as many people as you can in your hotel room. I've slept on floors before at hotels. Taken 1 shower a weekend.
3- if possible, drive to the con. Failing that, cheap flights. I know someone who took the bus from Denver to Vancouver for a con. If there are people in the area that you can squee with, rent a van or pack in the corolla.
4- If all else fails, have friends *cough* video the con. No one ever tapes conventions *cough*

I'm going cheap all the way for April. I'm also going to go cheap for SPN Van. But if you decide to go and need a place to stay, let me know. It's at the Sheraton Wall downtown and I'm not sure if I'm going to be staying there or in Burnaby, but I will be there. I'm not driving up and back from Seattle everyday.

Keep it in the back of your head. You can meet the gang at the SG VanCon, as they will also be there. Very nice people. More sane than me.

And Snowpocalypse my foot. Its such a joke. I swear I am *so* ticked at the school district here. They ended school early (an hour for HS/MS and 30 minutes for Elementary) canceled after school activities and afternoon preschool. Which meant that I didn't get to work today. Which means no extra income. And did we see a *single* flake? Heck no. *glares at the weathermen* I mean whats next? Canceling school because it might rain? Or its windy? Or *gasp!* LOOK! THE SUN! IT'S OUT!

Oh yeah, Emerald City. Not sure if I'm going, but we can hang out if I don't. Grab some lunch or dinner somewhere. I know there is a filk con in Renton this month, but haven't heard from Shaddyr so who knows.

It finally started snowing around an hour ago. I went outside 20 minutes ago and it wasn't sticking. I'm driving to work tomorrow since I have to go to class later and it's to be close to 50 tomorrow. No daycare for you!

Well I'm only going for one day. I haven't figured out if that will be Saturday or Sunday (I'm leaning toward Sunday now because of the kiddos birthday on Friday).

It finally started snowing here about 9 and it is sticking but its been icy/cold here for days (we still had snow from last week on our lawn). At least I'd planned to have the kid tomorrow (as she never has school on Wednesday) but today threw me a major curveball.

I got up super early (4:30 am) in case I had to take the bus, but it looks like it's raining and 35 degrees, so the snow is starting to melt. I'm going to drive in to work. Hoping most of the snow will be gone by 6 since my street doesn't get plowed.

I'm going to the Nashville SPN con :D First SPN con for me, yay! Too bad Con-Con got scheduled that same weekend, so I'll have to miss out on my Leverage squee. I guess seeing Kane so much for three months in a row kinda makes up for it, though.

This is my first SPN con, too. I can't wait! Last year, Creation scheduled the SPN Vancouver and the SG Chicago con the same weekend. This year, it's one week apart. *whew!*

I would love to go to all of these! But right now it looks like just one con for me this year. And I'm still on the fence on whether to go to VanCon or Chicago. Chicago is easier for me schedule wise (it's during the summer and not the school year). Hanging out in the cheap seats for the SPN con would be fun. Can some one just smuggle me in!? :P :D

I'm going to Stargate Vancouver and if I can swing it I'm going to try and go to Stargate Chicago in August. I had so much fun last August in Chicago that I'm determined to go as often as possible.

No wai! That would be most excellent. I'm waiting to see when the M&G tickets go on sale- might try again for another Hewlett one. Can't have enough
