Well, the Scotland trip is off.  I'm still going around England after P3, but I just don't have time to zip up to Glasgow.  Bummer.  Any places in England that I totally need to go in early Feb?

'Too much squee' indeed, lol.

I'd like to get out to Stonehenge. Have you been there before?

No, I missed Stonehenge last time. Wanna go? I know there are buses from London. I can took into price and whatnot.
The hotel *finally* got back to me on my credit card. They are processing right now. I still haven't done Klentona's room because of the hold up. I hope it works.

Yeah, lets go! Maybe on Thursday before the con starts and after we're rested up a bit from jet lag. ;)

Do you know of any cheap hostels in Glasgow? And would it be cheaper to fly up from London than take the train? I had a week cut off from my trip, and I'll be at P3 and such for 6 days. I still really want to go, but every book I have says it's expensive.

The whole of the UK is expensive, and I'm afraid if you come to Glasgow, I may not be able to see you much as it'd be the first week of my semester.

There are some travel lodges and stuff...I'll do some digging and get back to you.

I'd advise against hostels in Glasgow though...

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. And info is good.

You're going to P3, right? Pavane, Klentona and I are gonna be the reps from the McKay Thunk. I didn't remember if you had a ticket or not. You went last year, right?

here's some suggestions:

http://www.hiexpressglasgow.co.uk/
(it's literally right at the bus station, so you could get the bus up, and it's not far from the train station either, so you could get the train)

http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/hotel.php?hotel_id=209

You could do what I did and get the caledonian sleeper train or the national express bus...you travel during the night, spend the day in Glasgow, and travel back the next night, so no accomodation costs!

Yeah I'm going :)

The bus or train is 44 pounds return to glasgow, which is a LOT cheaper than any flights :)

Sorry I left the thunk thread, but you-know-who and one other person made it an intolerable place for me to stay in

If it was Logic, he's no longer there. I missed the big blow up. I only go to two diffrent places for SGA and 90% is here on LJ and 10% GW.

The pound is twice the US dollar right now, so it makes a big difference. But again, you get to hang out with me, Pavaneofstars and Klentona. Whoop! =)

Yay!

I'll be there with Shelsfc and Teknikal...we'll need to meet up for definite and make proper arrangements, cos there were about 7 people I really wanted to talk to and only got to say hello to last time.

Peg2 was absolutely amazing, and I hope peg3's the same :)

I don't really go online and talk atlantis anymore...I've got a couple of friends that love the show, so I talk to them about it :)
