I got a call- I didn't get the job. They went with the other person who had insurance experience. The agency said they would keep me in mind for other jobs.
I made the Pad Thai, but it's terrible. It has a lot of anchovy paste in it. I don't eat seafood, so it's really strong, plus it's very salty. I ate a bowl of it and put the rest in the fridge. Maybe I can find someone who will eat it. I got the mix at Trader Joe's and wanted to give it a try. I think I will leave it to the experts. Good news is I got some carrot cake cupcakes from TJ also, so that was a nice chaser.
I was going to go to Vancouver tonight to see V with the SG group and the Browncoats, but I don't feel like driving all the way up there tonight.
I'm pretty bummed out right now.

Very sorry to hear that you didn't get the job! I had a similar situation not too long ago, it seemed so very, very likely that I would get the job I applied for, but in the end I didn't. Before that you tell yourself not to get your hopes up but you do it anyway, you start to make plans and everything, and then it hurts even more when you don't get the job. Life's really unfair sometimes.

Yeah, it was only 2 of us. I know that the other person had more experience, but I really wanted this job. Close to home, easy and the hours were good. Oh well.

It's actually a good thing that you didn't try to drive up last night. Traffic was abysmal and it took me two hours just from my house. There was two accidents and a lightning storm. That would not have improved your mood! Hope to see you Sunday. Email me if you want to ride together.
