I have a meeting with my bosses today.  Our HR guy walked off the job yesterday. I was offered the HR job with conditions that it will be split into two.  I will have all the recruitment, training and assignment jobs (that I have already been doing) and they will have someone offsite do the legal stuff that I am not qualified for (Our old HR person before the last one might take it).  This would be a raise, I would get the HR office to myself, a budget, access to the company car, flexible schedule for school (they liked the idea that I want to complete my education) and most important: they would hire a receptionist.  I would not have to do any of the current menial tasks that I am doing right now.  I talked to my Mom's friend for over an hour last night to see what she thought of it, and we came up with three pages of a job descriptions and current tasks that I can present.  I would like to see how much the raise would be, but without the reception/admin work, I could really get into the job.  I already enjoy the orientations and trainings, and since I am willing to actually go to the job sites to see the janitors in action, that would be something that I could do.  Plus, since the job would not have any set schedule, I could go to school in the mornings and start my shift in the afternoons to evenings.  One of the main reasons why I wanted to leave was the fact that I can't do reception work anymore.  It's mind numbing dull.  But this experience with my education can only be good for me.  I'll let you know what happens.

Also- the last guy was unqualified for the job (I think he padded his resume) and it was getting too much for him, so he walked off.  The job is busy, but I've been doing his job along with mine off and on since December, so I know I can handle it.

Tim Finn will be playing at Bumpershoot this year:  Major Squeeeeeee!
