Found this on You Tube.  It was the bad snow storm before Thanksgiving last month. This was the evening that I somehow made it home all the way to my parking spot without an accident.  I'll be taking the bus again if there is another snow event this season

And yes, before you guys ask, Seattle is very hilly.  It's not the same as in the Midwest where a lot of the cities are flat.

I know how hilly the streets are in Seattle---I've been there! Yikes! And it's compounded by the fact you're used to dealing with rain, not snow and freezing rain and sleet!

Thankfully you made it home safe!

We just had a very powerful, sudden snow squall here in Maine. It happened right at rush hour, and so quickly....I think two inches fell in 30 minutes. The streets were like skating rinks, traffic came to a standstill, and people were sliding off the road left and right. There was a 17 car pile-up on one hilly street in Portland.

It took me 2 hours to get home, normally the commute is only 30 minutes.

2 inches in 30 min? Ugh. I love the snow, just not when I'm driving. On that day, I tried to take the bus but the snow route was different then I could take, so I ended up having to go home and get my car. I should have stayed home. I got off at 3:30 which is my normal time and I didn't walk into my apartment until almost 7. Luckily I didn't jump on the Interstate or I could have been stuck there 10 hours. Sheesh
