Hey all!  Back in Tahoe this morning.  We did the whirlwind tour of LA and the Disney theme parks.  We got to Anaheim around 6:30 pm on Thursday and checked into the hotel.  After a quick shower, we decided to get some dinner.  I took S to TGI Fridays since he loves that place, but we got lost on the way.  He was trying to show me his GPS (because he couldn't read it) and I ran a red light and almost caused a head on accident.  We got to the resturant and I had a few drinks to calm me down.

Disneyland was wonderful.  The longest line we had to wait in was about 1/2 hour.  There was a Disney convention that didn't let out until after 5pm, so until then, the park was only 1/2 full.  We were able to ride all the rides we wanted to, plus had time to swing through again.  That night, there was a 80s cover band that we danced to.  They were so much fun.

Saturday, we hit California Adventures.  Amazing.  It's set up in different parts of California.  They really nailed the Monterrey part.  The roller coaster shoots you up the first hill and it's has a loop.  The park is going through major renovations and will be fully open by 2011, but it still was wonderful.  We went on the Grizzly tube rafting twice and I got drenched.  We also went on the Soarin' over California ride twice.  That one blew me away.  You sit in these gliders and three rows pull you up about 30-50 feet.  Then an Imax screen shows flying over parts of California from the coast to the desert to the mountains to the vinyards.  I loved it.

Here's some video of the park from the Zepher ride.  You sit in metal zephers and it spins you around.

Today, we are taking the gondola to the top of Heavenly Ski Resort.  There is no snow yet, but the view of Lake Tahoe is supposed to be amazing.  Off to Carson City and Reno tomorrow then heading back to Seattle on Tuesday.  I miss my kitties!

Hi kids!  I made it to Tahoe.  I arrived at 12:30 am.  I left Seattle at 8:30 am.  You do the math.  Today, we're just chilling and we're gonna do some site seeing and get ready to take off to LA on Thursday early.

This morning, John and Rodney were up and checking out the new place.  They found the mystical plate of Bacon.  Rodney was very happy about that.  More later.

I normally don't mind rain, but keep your fingers crossed that they are just passing showers.
1- Being at Bumbershoot when it's raining will suck.  There are only a few places to get away from the rain, but there will be thousands of people there.  And when it rains here, it's not a warm rain.

2- This will really limit the view on top of the Needle.  If it was clear, you can see Mt Baker.  If we're lucky, we might be able to see Mt. Rainier, which is only 50 miles away.

Winnie the Pooh: Christopher Robin! I think it would help with this deception if you would just kind of open your umbrella and say, "Tut-tut, it looks like rain."

This is gonna be so much fun!   Pegasus reunion in Seattle!  Minus SGA actors, but I do have John and Rodney dolls that we can play with.

Yellowstone trip is off.  Logistics just didn't work this time.
But after seeing what my friend and I can come up with, we just booked a trip for next month to
DISNEYLAND

2 nights hotel and 2 day tickets for $200 each.  Wahooo!

I'm at an internet cafe in Bayswater.  Some guy came up to me and asked if I was an American and if I was on holiday.  I say yes, he shook his head and walked off.  I lol'ed.  Just checked in for my flight tomorrow.  Aisle seat- I have the bladder of a gerbal, so I would rather not ask the person next to me to move all the time.  Plus, I like to get up and walk around if my legs hurt.

Tonight, I may stop by the hotel bar again.  I don't know how long I want to stay in London today, but I know I want to miss rush hour.  I still need to stop somewhere and buy chocolates.  Amazing, I was not hung over this morning.

See you on the flip side

Hello. My flist is getting very long and detailed.  I think I will do my first ever purge.  Wow, I never thought I would do that, but there you are.  I'm not gonna drop any of my core group, but there are some people that I friended through various ways and never write to and never hear from, so those will be dropped.  If I drop you and you don't want me to, please let me know.  Anyone who I met in person and write to on a regular basis have no worries, as I will not drop you.

For today, I stopped by the train station and had to buy another ticket to London.  For those who don't remember, I had to dump a lot of stuff when I was flying from Glasgow to Germany and one of the items was my 4 day rail pass.  I was in security line, holding up the line, and I was in a hurry.  I spoke to the person at the counter and told him my story and he was not able to replace my ticket, but he gave me a discount on 1st class.  Very nice man.

I'm back at my hotel to get my hat.  It might snow today and the temp has already dropped since I set out this morning.  I leave for London tomorrow morning and I will be staying at the Holiday Inn by Heathrow.  I got a deal on it.  Yeah, it's an hour out from Heathrow to the City, but it's a quick Hoppa ride back to the airport on the 11th.  This also gives me one more full day in London on the 10th.

Off to go explore some home.  And as my brother would say- Peace out, homies!

But I really want to go home.  I've been sick for almost 3 weeks.  That day that I was walking around London in wet feet didn't help.  It's very cold here in Manchester and it's 7:30 pm and I'm ready for bed.  I miss my kitties!  I may not do another three week vacation again.  Sheeze!

Really.  I am.  I could win the gold in idiocy.  Want to know how much of an idiot I am? While in line for security to board Ryan Air, I had to dump a bunch of stuff to fit my laptop in my carryon.  I threw away my train pass. I was in a hurry because I was holding the line up and just started tossing things without looking at them,   I still had 3 days left on it.  Now I have to pay out of pocket for my trip from Manchester to London.

Hello all

It's my last day in Germany.  I'm off to Manchester tomorrow.  No, I am not following the trail of Morrissey or anything, but I only spent 6 hours in the city last time I went.  John (My brother) is on call and really cannot get time to go anywhere now.  I wanted to go to Munich, but Ryan Air charges a large amount for extra baggage and I would have to fly back here to John's house to pick up my other stuff before I fly back to the UK.  My flight back to Seattle is on the 11th and I have that 4 day train pass eatting a hole in my pocket....
I check out of Manchester on the 9th and train back to London.  I'm not sure where I'll be in London but it won't be the Thistle!  According to John, Thursday is a big drinking day here, so I hope to go out tonight.

Ciao
